I have a huge fear that I don't like to talk about a lot. I'm deathly afraid of ladders. I'm not afraid of heights so much as I get vertigo when I try to climb a ladder.

The reason that I'm forced to face this fear right now is that the light in my bedroom burned out yesterday morning as I attempted to turn in on before leaving for work. Today I was supposed to go out and buy new light bulbs all day but I waited until this evening to do so.

And if there's one thing I'm more afraid of than climbing ladders, it's climbing ladders in the dark. So tonight the only light in my bedroom is this crayon shaped lava lamp.

Yesterday night I attempted to write a LiveJournal entry in complete darkness. Tonight I'm just going to write one in the front room. Or I guess I could just move a lamp in there. A full sized one I mean.
