DAY TWO: Kicking It Old School In The New Money Neighborhood

DAY TWO: kicking it old school in the new money neighborhood
Originally uploaded by displaced365.

Today I needed to run some errands to truly begin the new year (as it was the last day I had off work as a paid holiday). After getting my haircut in the western part of the Lincoln Park neighborhood (right by De Paul but just at a cheapie haircutting place that happens to be in Lincoln Park), I headed east to go to the Borders at Clark and Diversey and buy a calendar.

I didn't end up buying a calender, although I did buy a planner and little mini-book trinkets to give out at work for people who didn't get bigger Christmas presents.

Anyhow, that's neither here nor there in relation to this photo except to set location. This photo was taken from the roof of the parking structure next to the Borders (which also houses a Wolf Camera). This one was facing southwest so this older building is in the heart of the Lincoln Park neighborhood.

You might as well have painted in green.

NOTE: January 2, 2007 post to Project 365!
