Despite there being how many other players on the Bears, for some reason all of the coverage this week has centered on quarterback Rex Grossman. He's been the most inconsistent player on the entire team - he actually had the most 100+ quarterback rating games and ther most 40- quarterback rating games in the entire game.

Don't even ask how QB rating is calculated. I think the formula is only slightly less complicated than the FIFA or Actim ratings.

Anyhow, all of the talk is over which Rex Grossman will show up - the one that throws to the other team's corner backs better than his own receivers or the one that was considered for a time to be a lock for the Pro Bowl as the best quarterback in the NFL.

I think most of the papers have been trying to build up his ego by stressing the positives on their covers. Red Eye took it the furthest today, making him into a super hero.
