At the end of last year, I took a new job at my workplace (not by choice, I wanted to get a severence package and get laid off when my old job ceased to exist) that involved being on the phone a lot more.

With my old job, my phone cord got pretty tangled up from lack of use and now whenever I pick up the phone, the whole apparatus flies at me.

Here's a nice closeup of the tangled mess which seems pretty appropriate as my day revolved around the phone.
